Mayers Memorial Healthcare District's Acute Department is here to meet the needs of inpatients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Acute Department cares for:

Medical/surgical patients of all ages; birth, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Services:

•Provides post-op care & instruction to surgical patients
•Provides care to Medicare patients requiring rehabilitation: Swing Beds
•Provides patient & family centered care
•Basic nursing care, including routine cardiac monitoring
•The treatment of respiratory conditions requiring continuous or intermittent oxygen via mask, cannula, or tent
•Pre and post surgical care and monitoring
•Convalescence and health restoration
