Dr. Dale Syverson, Surgeon and Medical Director

Welcome Dr. Dale Syverson

MMHD would like to welcome our Surgeon and Medical Director of the Surgery Department - Dr. Dale Syverson who will begin at MMHD August 11th.

Dr. Syverson was born in rural Minnesota and as a young man enlisted in the United States Navy, serving more than 4 years and achieving a rank of E5 as a hospital corpsman. After the Navy, he attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis for undergraduate and medical school. Following medical school, he did a general surgery residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. After residency, he completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Ferguson Clinic in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He is Board Certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery and his practice consists of general surgery and colon and rectal surgery.

Dr. Syverson has two grown children. His son is living and teaching in Istanbul and his daughter lives in Philadelphia, working as a landscape architect.
